Health & Fitness Classes:  The Y offers a diverse array of aerobic and strength-building classes for participants aged 13 and older.  A complete schedule of current offerings can be found on our “Fitness at a Glance” flyer's.  Pick up a copy in the front lobby.

Land Exercise

Aqua Zumba: Aqua Zumba combines the fun and passion of Zumba with the science and buoyancy of aqua. This is an Aqua aerobics class with all the Zumba fun!!

Body Conditioning: This class incorporates power intervals and plyometric moves.  This class is for experienced exercisers looking for a challenge.

Boot Camp Challenge:  This fitness class is for those who are at a high level of fitness already and would like an extra challenge.  This 90 minute class is designed to push participants past their endurance levels by using football and military style drills, martial arts and weight training work followed by a 30 yoga session to relax your body after the high intense workout!!  

Circuit Training:  A method of physical conditioning in which one moves from one exercise to another. Usually in a series of different stations or pieces of equipment.

HipHop Dance: You will learn new fun dance move to current hiphop and rb music.   In this class movements are bouncy, fast and funky.  It is foot oriented, but uses body isolations and popping.  Hip Hop is highly energetic and allows the dancer to perform with freedom of movements.

Pilates:  This class focuses on strengthening the core muscles that surround and support the spine first, then strengthening work can progress to the extremities.  A focus on breathing and balance make this a class that addresses all areas of fitness for your body.  

PilatesYOGA:  This class also focusing on your core but is accompanied by Yoga-based stretches to warm up and stretch out the muscles being exercised.  

Power Pump:  Barbells are used during the entire class.  Members can increase the weight that is used for resistance to build more muscle mass and strength, burn calories effectively in this fast paced class, and watch your strength and muscle definition improve dramatically.

Step Blast:  This class provides a complete aerobics program that combines all the fun cardiovascular benefits of aerobics with an excellent muscle-forming workout for buttocks, thighs, and calves.  Resistance equipment is used for toning and strength conditioning.  

Step N Sculpt:  Is a fun aerobics class that will get your heart rate up and tone your arms and legs at the same time.  This classes uses hand held weights during the stepping portion.  

Strictly Abs/Legs:  Abs class for 15 minutes works your entire core!!  Strictly legs is a 30 minute class that will firm, tone and strengthen every part of your legs!!  

Strictly Cardio: This class is all cardio!!!  Using step, stairs and the track to get your heart rate up and burning those calories!!

Turbo Kick:   If you like kick boxing this class is for you!!   Turbo Kick is kick boxing with a twist.  Designed to work the entire body, Turbo Kick combined with cardiovascular and toning moves makes this a fun and challenging class.   

The Ultimate Workout:  Trains and conditions both your anaerobic and aerobic energy systems.  This class primary concerns are boosting overall cardiovascular fitness, endurance, and fat loss, without losing the muscle mass they already have. This is a very strenuous class and is for participants that can exercise 20-30 minutes at 70-85% of their estimated maximum heart rate.

Weights on Ball: Weights on ball allows you to incorporate weights while engaging your core. This is a great way to strength the mid section while toning the rest of your body. 

Yoga:  A fitness based yoga class blending the Astanga and Vinyasa styles of Hatha Yoga to form a class that will increase your flexibility, balance, body strength and awareness.  Learn better breathing techniques and relax more by practicing this ancient art. 

Zumba: is a fusion of Latin and International music/dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting fitness program.    

Zumba Rapido:  Rapido means fast!!  You will move fast through every dance step to get you burning calories at a higher level! This class is for participants who have mastered the Latin moves and need minimal guidance.  

Zumba Gold:  Is designed for the active older adult, the true beginner, and/or people who are not used to exercising, or people who may be limited physically. Zumba Gold is done at a Lower Intensity.

Zumba Sculpt: This intense 30-minute sculpting class will have you leaning, reaching, twisting, and whittling your way to a sleek and sexy torso.  You will experience an AB-solutely fabulous workout of abdominal and lower body exercises, as well as movements that will allow you to literally give your rear end an attitude adjustment!
