We offer several adult sports, teams, and leagues.

Racquetball League

Racquetball League Adult racquetball leagues provide the opportunity to play at the level you’re comfortable. We have four divisions: Expert (A), Advanced (B), Intermediate (C) and Novice (D). Racquetball courts are at the Downtown Branch. Based on Participant Schedules.

Recreational Racquetball

One-hour reservations are made one week in advance, via our YMCA APP. Recreational racquetball is for ages 13 and up at the Downtown branch.



Pickleball is a paddle sport that is fun and easy to play! It is a sport that combines tennis, badminton, and ping pong. The YMCA offers indoor pickleball at both locations. Reservations can be made one week in advance, via our YMCA APP. Pickleball is played Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:00-10:00 AM (1 court), and Saturdays from 8:30AM - 11:00am (3 courts), at our Downtown YMCA. Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 6:00–10:00 AM (1 court) at Kerasotes.

Join us in the badminton club offered 2 days a week at Kerasotes. Register for the entire session or come drop in! Games can be from competitive to beginner! It is a great game social game to keep you healthy and enhance your skills! Wednesdays 5:00pm-7:00pm 1 court, and Sundays 8:00am-10:00am 3 courts. Sports Department, or 217-280-5199.

Private Karate Lessons

Schedule either a single lesson or 5 lessons in one-on-one karate training with sensei.

Adult Karate

This class builds upon basic techniques to master more advanced moves. Skill level is orange and green belt. Karate and self-defense are combined in training that refines kicks, blocks, and throws. Advanced karate is held on Wednesday nights from 5-6. Advanced karate level individuals can participate in any karate level classes. Families may receive multiple participant discounts.

Tae Kwon Do

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art. The techniques blend several ancient self-defense systems into a single dynamic one. Extensive kicking and footwork patterns characterize this Olympic sport! Our program stresses self-esteem, self-discipline, physical fitness, balance, flexibility and concentration. Families may receive multiple participant discounts.
