At YMCA of Springfield’s Summer Day Camps, kids will develop new skills, explore interests, and build relationships that last a lifetime. Activities can include archery, gymnastics, canoeing, arts & crafts, sports, group games, team building, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), swimming, field trips and more!
Camp Explorers

Camp Explorers is the ultimate summer adventure for our middle school kids, ages 12-14 who love to explore, learn and have fun! You’ll get to discover new places, make new friends and try new things. Whether you’re into nature, science, the arts or sports, Camp Explorers has something for everyone. Don’t miss this chance to create unforgettable memories and have a blast at Camp Explorers!

Camp Wa-Kon-Tah
June 3-August 9
Explore the outdoors at Camp Wa-Kon-Tah. Campers will participate in archery, canoeing, fishing, hiking, swimming, go on fieldtrips, play sports and so much more! Camp Wa-Kon-Tah is located on Lake Springfield near Chatham and is a full day camp that runs from 7:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday.

Gymnastics Camp
May 27-August 2
Campers will tumble & flip their way through weeks of camp on our beautiful gymnastics center! Gymnastics is a party group, & we love theme weeks & weekly pizza parties. Gymnastics Camps is located at our Downtown YMCA Branch & is from 9AM till 4PM with wrap-around care from 7AM till 9AM and 4PM till 6PM

Sports Camp

Half-Day Camps
Volleyball, soccer, & basketball. Players will be taught the fundamentals of each sport, while encompassing fun games and contests, catered towards the ability of each participant. The focus of all sports will be having fun!
