Lifeguard Certification Program

Prerequisites:
Prerequisites:
To be eligible, candidates must complete the following swim skills:
- Tread water for 2 minutes (no arms)
- Swim 100 yards of front crawl
- Swim 100 yards of breaststroke
- Swim 50 yards of front crawl, breaststroke with head up, and elementary backstroke with hands on the chest
- Sprint approximately 60 feet, perform an arm-over-arm surface dive, pick up an object from the bottom, and tread water for 1 minute (no arms)
- Swim the remaining length of the pool, climb out, and perform 100 compressions on an adult mannequin on deck
Minimum Age: 15 years old
