Pass, shoot, score! YMCA soccer helps children learn the fundamentals of soccer as well as valuable life lessons. This program has age specific levels where players are taught basic game skills such as passing, receiving, shooting, footwork, and dribbling. Sportsmanship is emphasized and everyone plays. For questions or if you are interested in volunteering as a coach, please contact Matthew Eck at meck@springfieldymca.org or 217- 280-5199.
YMCA Soccer League
Outdoor Soccer League
Outdoor soccer league games and practices are held at the UIS soccer fields on the east end of the campus. In this soccer league, players will learn techniques applicable to their age and skill level. The YMCA's soccer program focuses on teamwork, skill development, and fun filled environments for athletes to grow. The league runs 7 weeks from April-May.
Indoor Soccer League
Indoor soccer leagues are held at Soccer World in the fall and winter months. Like our outdoor league, the program strives to build on skill development all while having fun.
